UHAUL CAMPER EQUIPMENT INVENTORY

This inventory post is a "work in progress".

We will include all of the major items of equipment in our camper. Each item will be noted as Original, Replacement or Addition. For each of the items we plan to list manufacturer and current sources for replacement parts. Each item will be accompanied by special notes on condition and installation issues and hints where appropriate. We will also include a listing of the original equipment that we removed and have in storage.

In the following post on this blog you will find photos of most of the items included in our inventory. Clicking on the photos should result in enlargement for more detailed observation.

The trailer and its equipment that are described and listed here are the result of a "team" approach. We are working with a local "Professional" in RV and Camper Refrigeration located in Indian Trail NC. We work together to develop a plan and then he purchases and installs most of the major equipment. We add smaller items that do not require significant structural modification. This arrangement has worked well for us and we are quite pleased with the results. We admire the ability of "Do It Yourselfers" but we do not have the time nor the appropriate skill/knowledge talents thus we found another way by teaming with a professional.

There are numerous choices that one can make with a project such as this and we have chosen to make significant modifications that contribute to an improvement in the "quality of our camping experiences". We also wanted the capacity to "dry" camp in remote/undeveloped areas. The solar, propane and gasoline generator power sources combined with a small water supply will allow this for short, 3-5 day periods.

Other owners choose to maintain or restore their camper to closely approximate "Original" condition. We enjoy seeing these "originals" and appreciate the effort that has gone into maintaining them.

As part of this inventory process we will be adding documents and manuals about our trailer and some statistics about weight, tire size, model numbers, etc.
